Jamie Lonker was born in Medicine Lodge, Kansas & raised on the Bar Seven Ranch Southwest of Medicine Lodge, near both Twin Peaks & the infamous “Flower Pot Mountain,” located in Barber County. She was riding horses, gathering cattle with her Dad, brothers & neighbors in the family pastures of the Gyp Hills before she could walk, and developed a deep passion and love for the family ranch, Hereford & Gelbvieh cattle, and horses.
Always active in everything Agriculture, 4-H & FFA judging range grasses, livestock & meats as well as showing livestock. She was a member of the Kansas Junior Hereford association and participated nationally with the group, was a founding charter member of the Kansas Jr. Gelbvieh Association, and was chosen as the first Kansas Gelbvieh Ambassador & competed on a national level. Jamie is a proud Alumni of Kansas State University.
Jamie especially enjoys spending time working & building arenas, corrals & fencing projects with her son, Dakota, as well as anything western across the country that also might involve eating a good steak, good music and two-stepping! She’s well-known for taking the path less traveled, having visions and ideas… and going after it all.
